The week's numbers have been counted and Camila Cabello's debut solo album Camila has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 charts after moving the equivalent of 119,000 units in its first week with 65,000 of those being traditional sales. In this same stride, Camila Cabello now becomes the first woman to hit No. 1 with her debut album since Meghan Trainor did the same with her Title effort back in 2015.
Cabello took to social media to celebrate the news with plenty of emotion and emojis to match. "MY ALBUM IS NUMBER 1 ON BILLBOARD HOT," she wrote out. "IM CRYING ON THE STREET."
It marks a great accomplishment for the former Fifth Harmony singer who was only projected to push 90,000, but she rose to the occasion, knocking down the soundtrack of The Greatest Showman, which spent the last two weeks at the top spot. In the remaining top ten, you'll find the usual suspects housed on the chart with Ed Sheeran's ÷ (Divide) slipping down to No. 3, Post Malone's Stoney climbing to No. 4, Taylor Swift's Reputation sitting at No. 5, G-Eazy's The Beautiful & Damned slipping to No. 6, Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. going up one spot to No.7, and Eminem's Revival dropping to No. 8.
The next two slots are reserved for Lil Uzi's Luv Is Rage 2, climbing 11-9 while Lil Skies makes an impressive jump of 65 percent with his Life of a Dark Rose jumping from 23 to 10 within its second week.
