The song has surpassed Sia's "Cheap Thrills" as the new record-holder.

Camila Cabello's solo career is off to a record-breaking start. The singer, who left pop quintet Fifth Harmony to release her debut solo album Camila earlier this year, has earned Spotify's most streamed song be a female solo artist in "Havana." The Young Thug-assisted track hit No. 1 on the Hot 100 in January and has since been certified 5x platinum by the RIAA. The song breaks the record with over 888 million streams on Spotify.

Camila recently performed the single, as well as her new duet with Pharrell, "Sangria Wine," at the Billboard Music Awards. She released the video for her album's second single "Never Be The Same" in March. The song peaked at No. 6 on the Hot 100.

The singer's debut album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in January, moving 119,000 units first week. It has been certified platinum by the RIAA. As we've seen with recent releases, advance singles have the potential to move albums to gold and platinum status upon release. It was recently reported that Drake's Scorpion singles have earned over 1 billion streams combined. If all of the songs appear on the album, it will log over 600,000 album equivalent units on those figures alone, making it instantly, gold-certified.
