While the cover art for Lloyd’s forthcoming Tru LP has caused enough of a stir to get us talking about the new effort, the crooner has also silently dropped off a preview of the outing by way of his latest “Caramel” single. The new track is an upbeat offering in which the singer details escapades with a woman reminiscent of the song’s title.
The Tru LP will mark the first full-length project from Lloyd since 2016’s EP of the same name. Previously, the singer said that the Tru EP was merely a foretaste of his Out My Window studio album. It looks like those plans have since been diverted with pre-order information indicating that the Tru LP will be host to 11 tracks, with “Caramel” being the first of the bunch.
Quotable Lyrics:
She like 5'5", grew up on the East side
She a college girl, but she like the hood type
She the only drug I need to get my mind right
I don't have to ask, she say that it's all mine
