Meek Mill has been rather quiet on the music front since getting released from prison back in April, but that’s partially due to the fact he’s fighting a bigger battle with prison reform and trying to get a new trial. Last week, he returned to the scene with his first official single called “Stay Woke” featuring Miguel, and now today he’s back with a surprise 4-song EP called Legends Of The Summer, featuring Swizz Beatz, PnB Rock and Jeremih.
Looking to highlight one of the standout records, here goes the hard-hittin’ intro “Millidelphia” featuring Swizz Beatz. Pouncing on the beat, Meek delivers an aggressive and boisterous street record that finds him rapping about his judge (Genece Brinkley) holding him back and the cops wanting to see him in the cell. “Fuck 12 and the cops (fuck 12)/ They wanna see me in the cage, I'd rather see me in a Wraith,” he spits.
This serves as Meek & Swizz’s second collaboration together, following Dreams Worth Than Money cut “Classic” which coincidentally also features Jeremih, who appears on the Legends Of The Summer EP as well on the song “Changes.”
