Jimmy Wopo was heading towards stardom before his untimely death two weeks a go. The rapper died following a double shooting in Pittsburgh just hours after XXXTENTACION was pronounced dead. While hip hop mourned the loss of the Pittsburgh star, his team promised that his unreleased music would be released posthumously. A day after his death, his team released the video for "Lil Heavy." Now, they've released a new song and video for "Lane Life."
In memory of Jimmy Wopo, his team shared his latest song and video for "Lane Life." Wopo's latest effort is one of the first solo posthumous releases. Wopo comes through with bars and reminds everyone why he was the next up out of Pittsburgh. The video finds him bouncing between his hood to shots of him recording in the studio. The video also cuts to footage of the rapper sitting next to a kid in the living room with dollar bills sprawled out across a coffee table.
Wopo's team is expecting to release his forthcoming project, Muney Lane Muzik 2 this summer via EMPIRE. Keep your eyes peeled for that.
