MF Doom and Kool G Rap are truly grimy on "Assassination Day."

Coming off the drop of an eerie collaboration between MF Doom and Freddie Gibbs, another offering has been put forth by DJ Muggs. This time, it's the Kool G Rap assisted "Assassination Day."

"A rainbow in this go-to-hell game show," snarls Doom, grimier than 2018 ever anticipated, "Bango, devil wanna tango, gets insane dough, trick on any Jane Doe hoe." While many rappers have likened themselves to super villains, this may be the truest we've come to true malevolence in a minute. Doom wears it well, polishing off the mask and blade with measured care. It's a testament to the musical instincts of the storied DJ Muggs, who reads his partner's more genre-inspired instincts with seamless intuition.

The dark, simmering cut brings another legend to the fold in Kool G Rap, who has the honor of trading bars with MF Doom. Over some Hitchock-esque strings, G Rap delivers a relentless barrage of New York street shit, complimented by Doom's menacing aura. For those standing on corners with signs reading "hip-hop is dead," perhaps this is what the rapture sounds like.

Stay tuned for MUGGS X DOOM, arriving in the imminent future.

Quotable Lyrics

Lyrics, clear the pipes like draino
Witness pure hate like spit goin' over Raimo
A good response would be to wave 'hi' like Maino
Or it could be whatever dog— Bingo was his name-o
A rainbow in this go-to-hell game show
It's like a pause, eh yo, you know how the slang go
Bang, go, devil wanna tango
Get's insane dough, trick on any Jane Doe ho
