Muggs, DOOM, and Freddie Gibbs make for the gulliest trifecta.

It's turning out to be quite the day for raw, gangsta music, with new drops from Freddie Gibbs, Westside Gunn, and Redman. Now, the trifecta of MF Doom, DJ Muggs, and man of the hour Gangsta Gibbs have come through to add their collective voices to the chorus. The track in question is "Death Wish," which stems from the collaborative effort between DJ Muggs and MF Doom, aptly titled MUGGS X DOOM. Sometimes, the simplest choice is the most effective. As for the music, the vibe is about what you'd expect, with a lo-fi, old-school sampled beat from the Soul Assassins legend.

It's long documented that DOOM is among hip-hop's most innovative lyricists, and his pen game remains on point throughout. Likewise for Gibbs, who has been quietly out-rapping the bulk of the game for years now. Though this track does feature moments of brilliance, the final product does tend to wander a little bit, feeling more freestyle than finished product. Still, Gibbs does spaz, and one should respect the new don accordingly.

Quotable Lyrics

Put a n***a face up on a news station,
Want to TMZ me eatin' tortellini,
Maserati clean send your ho to see me
I'm the don, call me Freddie Gandolfini
