The Will Smith and Joel Edgerton lead film Bright had a lot of hype before its release especially with its rapper studded soundtrack that featured beats from Ty Dolla $ign, Migos, Meek Mill and DRAM to name a few. Netflix also signed on to release its sequel that marked the first movie franchise on a streaming platform ever.
Today was the day the film was officially released on Netflix and unfortunately, many are reporting that the film is a bust. IndieWire's David Elrich titled his review "Netflix’s First Blockbuster Is the Worst Movie of 2017."
"There’s boring, there’s bad, and then there’s “Bright,” a movie so profoundly awful that Republicans will probably try to pass it into law over Christmas break,' he starts off in his post. David Ayer, who directed the film, followed up Elrich's review saying that even though he wasn't a fan "highest compliment is a strong reaction either way."
Rotten Tomatoes, who are infamously known for its movie ratings, gave the film a very low 31%. Although such big publications are trashing the film, a decent amount of Twitter users are actually in favour of the movie. Check out more Twitter reactions below. Have you guys seen it?
