UFC President Dana White recently told ESPN that Floyd Mayweather was in talks for a UFC deal. However, not long after White's comments started circulating, the retired boxing legend announced, once again, that he has no plans to fight again, no matter how much money is on the line.
Throughout all of the Mayweather x UFC talk, the man he defeated in his last boxing match back in August has remained silent. That was until yesterday, when Conor McGregor took to twitter to comment on a post regarding Mayweather crossing over into the world of UFC.
An ESPN tweet asked, "What if Floyd Mayweather decided to trade his boxing gloves for UFC gloves?," to which McGregor quote-tweeted, "Virgin ears."
Mayweather recently told FightHype.com, "So, I’m just saying, I could (make a billion in the UFC). I’m not doing it. But I’m saying, what I could do is make a billion dollars quick if I wanted to do that. That’s what I was saying.”
Conor McGregor's direct response to the tweet about Mayweather comes just days after he simply tweeted, "Pussy," shortly after Mayweather shot down rumors of a potential run in the UFC. There was no context to the tweet, but anyone with half a brain can figure out who the message was directed to.
