Floyd Mayweather has repeatedly denied reports that he's entertaining a multi-fight deal with the UFC. He has also hasn't done anything to keep fans from speculating.
Today, Mayweather added even more fuel to the rumors by posting a quick video of himself stepping into the cage at Syndicate MMA, a known gym in Las Vegas, which has once again sparked MMA rumors.
The retired 41-year old boxer did not caption or tag anyone in the cryptic video but it certainly got the attention of Conor McGregor, who quote tweeted the video, "Hahahaha very good. Keep up the good work my son. Yours sincerely, Senior."
The post comes just one day after Mayweather shared a picture of himself punching Conor McGregor during their boxing match. Mayweather captioned that photo, "#MCM Mayweather Crushes McGregor." Naturally, some fans are starting to believe a sequel could be in the works.
Mayweather has said in the past that he could make a billion dollars through a multi-fight UFC deal, but has shut down reports that he's actually considering such a move. He recently told FightHype.com,
“If I choose to get in the octagon and fight – fight three fights, three or four fights, and then fight Conor McGregor in the octagon. We just don’t know what the future holds for Floyd Mayweather, and I don’t look forward to getting back in the boxing ring. That’s what I don’t look forward to doing. So, I’m just saying, I could (make a billion in the UFC). I’m not doing it. But I’m saying, what I could do is make a billion dollars quick if I wanted to do that. That’s what I was saying.”
