Zack Snyder had his hands firmly on the DC's movie universe before he had to step out due to a family emergency. Snyder helmed Man of Steel and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. DC fans were split on his two films, with half criticizing his darker tone and others praising the stark contrast to the Marvel movies. Snyder completed about half of Justice League before he had a loss in the family, and Joss Whedon finished up the film for him. Fans may never get to see Snyder's original vision for Justice League, but the director did drop a huge hint on where he was planning to bring the series.
Snyder originally conceived his run in the DCEU as a five-film project, which started with Man of Steel. Instead of following the Marvel method of stretching out various solo stories, Snyder had a plan to build his universe much like a comic book mini-series. A fan of Snyder's vision took to Twitter to post a picture of Superman holding the lifeless body of Batman recently, which caught the director's attention. "What we may have seen in the 5 story arc," wrote the fan under the picture. Soon after, the same fan posted a shot of Zack Snyder himself responding to the tweet. "Of course," he wrote. Snyder's agreeance is a shocker, as Batman has been the focal point for DC films for decades.
