Yung Simmie delivers "Big Smokey."

With the spotlight currently hoisted on the Florida rap scene at large, Yung Simmie should be having his moment soon enough. That's not to say he doesn't already have one-- with a cool 135,000 followers on Soundcloud, it's safe to say he's got a solid fanbase going, but his name doesn't quite ring as many bells as fellow Floridian rappers that are popping up on the web seemingly every single minute (Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, Ski Mask you get the idea). Still, Simmie is putting work and we're not letting it go unnoticed. The rapper released Simmie Season 2 a year ago, and finally makes his return with a new body of work, not under the Simmie Season umbrella, but it should satiate fans nonetheless. He's been teasing it for long enough. Also, it's sort of a special release because it'll be Yung Simmie's last album on Raider Klan, his final project with them, and he's out of contract. As a free agent, he's already eyeing his next move, and the timing of course couldn't be better. This is definitely a good thing for Simmie.

In terms of the 16-track offering that is Big Smokey, Yung Simmie brings along South Florida natives (-only-, so you know it's real) for the ride. N3LL, Rell, Lil Dred, Jonny Hopkins and Lil Glock show up for featured appearances through out, sometimes multiple. Production is handled predominantly by HighAF, with additional sounds coming from Yung Icey Beats, LAW and Evil Haze.

Take a listen through the 16 tracks and let us know your favorite song. Stream and/or download is available. It's worth noting, Simmie touts this as Volume 1-- thus we should expect a second instalment in the Big Smokey series.

Are you excited for his next move? Stay tuned.
