With Young Thug acting as an integral part of the K.O.D. Tour, opening for J. Cole as they jet across North America, he's been sliding off of his latest Slime Language project. Always one to put on his YSL teammates and anybody he believes to have deep potential, Thugger is becoming more and more of a mentor to younger artists, adapting to a role similar to Gucci Mane. The YSL imprint now extends to a host of impressive artists including Gunna, Lil Duke, and plenty of others. The Slime Boss may need to be careful with the law though if he wants to continue developing his artists as he was just charged with a total of 8 felonies for an arrest in September of last year.
The 2017 arrest happened after Thug was stopped by police for tinted windows. Shortly after being pulled over, he was arrested for drug possession. According to TMZ, the man was just formally charged with a whopping 8 felonies for the incident. The charges include possession and intent to distribute meth, weed, and hydrocodone. The publication also notes he was charged with possession of amphetamine, Alprazolam, and codeine. On top of all that, he was carrying a firearm, which he also received a felony for.
All in all, this is not good news for Jeffery. Shortly after releasing Slime Language, he was booked for carrying weapons in his vehicle. Hopefully, this doesn't become a habit because we need Thug in the game.
