The D.A. has dropped a felony marijuana charge leveled against Young Thug, TMZ reports. The charge comes from what has since been deemed an illegal raid on the rapper's home in July 2015. Originally, Thug was charged with felony cocaine possession, felony marijuana possession and 3 counts of felony gun possession.
While everything other than the marijuana charge had previously been dropped, Thug's lawyer's have now convinced the D.A. to oust the final charge as well. The rapper's legal team argued that the lack of a proper warrant used in the raid meant that Thug should be let off scot-free. The D.A. has subsequently agreed to drop the charge.
Young Thug appears on Calvin Harris' new single "Heatstroke" with Pharrell and Ariana Grande. He released a new solo track called "Safe" earlier this year.
