Young Thug and Elton John are working on a remix of John's 1972 classic single "Rocket Man", reports The Fader.

Sources say that 300 Ent. co-founder Lyor Cohen arranged for Thug to speak with John via FaceTime. John then sent the "Rocket Man" instrumental for Thug to play around with. Apparently, he murdered it.

"It's all the instrumental, the guitar, piano; and Thug is not rapping, he's singing," the source says. "It's really ambient and amazing."

Elton John expressed his admiration for Young Thug in a December interview with Noisey, and just yesterday he played some Thugger during his Rocket Hour radio show on Beats 1. It's not crazy to think that Thug would perform well on a song about a lost cosmic voyager. Stay tuned for more information about this very exciting development.
