Young Dolph hasn't slowed down one bit over the past several years. He's continuously fed the streets mixtape after mixtape as an independent artist. While we've seen several artist reach commercial success as a independent artist, the power of a major label still has its benefits. However, it looks like Young Dolph would rather do things on his terms as opposed to working with "the machine."
Young Dolph took to Instagram to reveal that he just turned down a whole lot of money for a record deal. The rapper's clearly been getting a lot of offers in recent times especially since his last album, Bulletproof managed to peak at number 16 on the Billboard 200. He revealed that he's been debating over signing a $22M recording deal, although he didn't mention who it was with.
"I done got myself in a fucked up ass situation, dawg. I don’t know what the fuck to do, dawg,” He said with a large yellow envelope in his hand which could very well be whatever contract he's speaking on. “Really, tell you the truth, I do know what to do. I'ma let y'all know what's going on. For the last six months, I been having a mothafuckin' $22M contract debating over should I do the deal or not.”
He threw the envelope on his camo Rolls Royce and pondered over the $22M before declaring, "Fuck the $22M!" and walking off.
Regardless of the $22M deal or not, it's clear that his fans will always be eager to hear whatever he has to put out. Check his post below.
