It's not a collaboration, it's a god damn meeting of the bosses. Young Dolph's Thinking Out Loud was pretty much full of bangers, but "Go Get Sum Mo" stands out above the pack. The posse cut brings contributions from the recent married Mr. Davis aka Gucci Mane, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music auteur 2 Chainz, and Beach House 3's Ty Dolla $ign. On top of it, the track is produced by Da Honoroble C.Note, whose masterful use of some tense strings and trap percussion make for an eerie banger. If you haven't got around to listening to Dolph's latest, you should make that a priority. Put down the Super Slimey for a minute, it's not going anywhere.
As for "Go Get Sum More," Dolph sets things off with the first verse, holding his own with two of Atlanta's most legendary artists. The Memphis emcee's opening lines paint the portrait of a trap boss, as he raps "Spent some more money, beat another case, riding down eleven like Scarface, sixty thousand dollar tuxedo, these bitches just love a n***a's lingo." It's not easy going toe to toe with Guwop and Tity Boi on a track, but this is Dolph's show, and he brings his A-game.
Gucci Mane continues his legendary 2017 win streak, delivering his first official post-marriage verse and making it clear that he's enjoying some quality home cooking - this rap shit too easy, my left wrist too freezy, she butt naked in the kitchen cookin' breakfast, eggs over easy." 2 Chainz may very well steal the show with his closing verse, kicking the flow up a notch and spitting some hilarious bars - "throw the girl out like a flea flicker, I don't even dodge them cheap liquors, I got so high I tried to eat people, jewelry on drippin' like a sea creature." Add Ty Dolla $ign to the mix and you've got a certified hit.
Quotable Lyrics
Throw the girl out like a flea flicker
I don't even dodge them cheap liquors
I got so high I tried to eat people
Jewelry on drippin' like a sea creature
