If you were crossing your fingers that YG was still dropping today, we've got some bad news for you. Originally, we weren't even supposed to know about 4REAL 4REAL but when Nipsey Hussle passed away, YG told the world that the would-be surprise album needed to be pushed back. The Bompton talent set a May 3 release for his fourth studio album but all we received today was his second single "Go Loko." Thankfully, the song is pretty dope and will hold us over for a while because it's being reported that the album will only be released later this month.
After fans noticed that the project hadn't been uploaded to streaming services overnight, questions poured in on social media about its whereabouts. HHNM ended up issuing a tweet, which was answered by Karen Civil, confirming a new release date.
Several sources are stating that 4REAL 4REAL will now officially arrive on May 24. The cause for this most recent setback is currently unknown but it will likely give YG some more time to promote and build the album. Hopefully, you can wait a few extra weeks while he gets this right. What do you think of the two singles we've heard as lead-ups?
