YE Ali is back with a new loosie for the summer. "T shirt Interlude," a slow jam produced by Jordan Manswell, is available for streaming through SoundCloud. Hear the newness below.
The song serves as a follow-up to another TYus-featured song. "Sexy Time," which dropped in April, also feels like a silky sheets type of track.
Ye Ali's style is often compared to some of his contemporaries, like Bryson Tiller. His unicity, however, can be found in the repertoire he was introduced to at an early age. Some of the artists that were poured into his ears grooved outside of modern RnB music.
“My dad’s a country fellow from Chicago, who grew up on a farm, so he appreciated music. [I listened to] a lot of country and a lot of old soulful music. Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Sade, Anika Baker, George Jones, and a lot of Dolly Parton. I grew up listening to Garth Brooks and Shania Twain."
