At just 21-years-old, YBN Cordae already has three mixtapes under his belt. The North Carolina-born, Maryland-raised rapper began his career when he was just a teenager, but only in the last year or two has he been making a name for himself on the mainstream level. He grew up listening to old school hip hop, influenced by artists such as Talib Kweli and Rakim, and fans can hear that sound on his projects. “I liked Big L’s wordplay with the multi-syllable rhymes he hit so clean,” the rapper told XXL. “Nas’ storytelling was just fire.”

Earlier this year YBN Cordae, real name Cordae Dunston, dropped the video for "Locationships" and ever since then fans have been waiting on pins and needs for his next full project. Until then, Cordae has released his fire single "Have Mercy," rolling out a new track to keep up on our toes until his next album hits.

Quotable Lyrics

There's no complainin' on this side
My n****s, shit is not tolerated
Cut some n****s off like a operation
And my team way more consolidated
Suite presidential, that's inauguration
'Cause we cookin' crack like Ronald Reagan
