Things are looking good for XXXTENTACION right now. The rapper's latest album ? is expected to hit number one on the Billboard chart upon its release and his single, "SAD!" is now sitting in the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. The rapper was placed on house arrest in late 2017 following his court hearing for his domestic violence case. Earlier today, the rapper reportedly asked the judge to let him off house arrest in order for him to tour his latest project and it looks like the judge has granted him his wish.
According to TMZ, XXXTENTACION is officially off house arrest. The rapper requested the judge to let him off house arrest in order for him to take his latest album on the road and make some money off of it. While he may be able to tour, this is only the first steps to his freedom. The rapper will still have to take regular drug tests and report his travel as part of his agreement.
X's release from house arrest is mainly due to his good behavior in the past few months, his lawyer, David Bogenschutz told TMZ.
"Hopefully these are the first steps towards complete freedom." He said.
The request to be let off of house arrest was made simply because he can't financially support himself off of record sales alone and needs to be able to tour to receive an income.
