Comedian Michelle Wolf attended the White House Correspondent's Dinner this past weekend, and did not hold back when taking a few jabs at notable Oval Office employees. Wolf was condemned by conservatives for spewing vulgarities throughout her set, especially the word pussy (which POTUS Trump has used himself in an infamous Access Hollywood interview.)
However, it was a wisecrack aimed squarely at Sarah Huckabee Sanders that has angered many. Wolf joked that the White House Press Secretary "burns facts and then she uses that ash to create a perfect smokey eye."
Margaret Talev, president of the WHCA, issued a statement after the dinner, claiming that Wolf's set was "not in the spirit" of the event's mission to offer a "unifying message."
Wendy Williams disagrees with the disparagement Wolf is receiving, telling any audience member who believes her jabs were out of line to leave her set and go downstairs to a taping of the Rachael Ray Show.
Likewise, Colbert staunchly supported his fellow comedienne, admitting how Wolf "did not pull any punches and some people were offended by what she had to say, presumably the people who have been in a coma for the past two and a half-years."
