Watch Jorja Smith's Glowing Cover Of TLC's "No Scrubs"

Jorja Smith was in the warm up phase last month on BBC radio, readying her performance at Coachella, during which she performed a sultry rendition of TLC's "No Scrubs." She then included it in her Coachella set and upon returning to home soil covered it again, this time as the Fresh FOCUS Artist Of The Month on The Box Plus Network, the UK's most watched platform for music videos and content. 

Her version of "No Scrubs" paints a less indignant tone on the original sung by TLC. In lieu of swearing off men altogether, Jorja's "No Scrubs" casts a regretful tone over what could have been "love." The video incorporates live instrumentation in the form of a session drummer, guitarist, bassist and a keyboard player. Over the course of the video, Jorja barely accounts for the gaze of the viewer, instead plunging head first into her emotionally charged performance.
