The Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls have just pulled off pretty big trade. The Bulls are sending Bobby Portis & Jabari Parker to Washington in exchange for Otto Porter Jr. In addition, the Bulls will also send the Wizards a 2023 second-round draft pick as well.
The move looks to be a salary dump for Washington, who found out yesterday that star guard John Wall will be out another 12 months for rupturing his achilles this week. Porter was owed $81 million dollars over the next 3 years. Whereas, Bobby & Jabari will be restricted free agents this Summer.
Parker had signed a one-year, $20 million deal with his hometown Bulls prior to the start of the season, but quickly fell in new head coach Jim Boylan's doghouse. The 23-year-old averaged 14.3 points and 6.2 boards per game in 39 games and 17 starts this season.
We’ll continue to keep you posted if any more big trades are announced before tomorrow's deadline at 3PM EST. Stay tuned.
