Vic Mensa has some harsh words for those in the hip-hop game who harm women.
In a new video interview, the rapper identifies a disturbing trend among his peers where charges of domestic abuse and violence against women are on the rise. In fact, he goes so far as calling those men "cowards."
"They're not problematic artists, they're cowards," he said in the Pigeons & Planes in the video. "We get into this place of confusing, like, troubled and charismatic people with just cowards. Like, beating up women on video, as these rappers continue to do, and then their little fans continue to support them for it and it gets them poppin' for it. It's not that he's a troubled artist, he's a pussy. That's whats going on."
Though no names were mentioned explicitly, XXXTENTACION, Kodak Black, and Famous Dex are high-profile names that immediately come to mind as rappers who have been connected to assaults of women.
