The case of Usher and his herpes is back again, this time surrounding the initial accuser, Laura Helm, and her latest lawsuit against three companies who outed her private records.
According to TMZ, Laura is suing United Healthcare, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Louisiana and Golden Rule Insurance Company after she filed her "private sensitive health information" with an insurance broker who represented the three parties. The case claims how after she filed on July 31, 2017, the broker took screenshots of her medical records and shared them with a blog. Laura is also suing the unnamed blog.
TMZ notes how Laura - who recently dropped the case against Usher for allegedly giving her herpes - is also going after the blog for defamation after alluding she committed insurance fraud.
Before Laura dropped her case against Usher, the "U Got It Bad" singer released a statement that said she assumed the risk when she slept with him. He stated: "With a one in six chance that any given partner could have genital herpes, [she] assumed the risk of contracting an STD each and every time she chose to have unprotected sex with a casual, consensual partner."
