This is a great EP, if these songs are what Cole considers freebie quality, then I can't wait to hear what he has on the album. Power Trip is pretty much my favorite rap song of the year so far, so if the rest of the album is that good then I can't wait to hear it. I respect how Cole can go away for pretty much about a year, and then come back and make a big impact with this quality music.

Most of these snippets just sound like trap mixtape songs, not album cuts. Definitely won't be listening to this shit except for the song with the Weeknd, and that's only because of The Weeknd.

This tracklist is fake, because Cole said there weren't any rap features, so unless Kendrick is singing the hook "Money Trees" or "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe" style on the song, I doubt it.And if Crooked Smile sets the tone for the uplifting half of the album, then I don't think "Chaining Day" and "Let Nas Down" go with it. Plus he said he'd never name the song something like "I Disappointed Nas" and "Let Nas Down" is an even stupider title.

That is so hypocritical that Eminem received no flack for using parkinsons as a punchline, and Kanye is being persecuted for it. Kanye is right about one thing, the media and corporations are always trying to villainize him. It wasn't anything I personally got upset over at all, but the punchline was in poor taste, but if you're gonna go in on one rapper then go in on everyone that has made a reference to Parkinsons. Damn, rappers really have to watch what they say now.

The new numbers definitely look way more right to me. Kanye has never sold below 400k before, and I'd like to see him hit that number again. Even if he does 375k, considering the extreme lack of traditional promotion, that's still pretty good. As for Cole, 150k-200k would've been less than his debut, and there are a long list of reasons his fanbase should be way bigger now, than it was for Cole World, it was only right for it to sell more.

I don't know about Sean, I think he'll at least pass 100k this time.

MGK ain't much more relevant than they are, Tyler hates on everybody, and Wale has sold way more records than all of them. Those mixtapes are classics, but I don't actually think a commercial reissue is going to get them any more attention than they already had. And as for the songs he did over other artist's beats, he's just gonna have to leave them off. So Far Gone had 17 songs, and when Drake commercially re-released it as an EP. Big Cole fan, loved the mixtapes, loved Born Sinner, but this is kind of pointless.

HELL NO,The album isn't a bad album compared to a lot of rapper's shit, but it's totally disgraceful as a Kanye West album, and not half as good as his other works. If you think Ross can't come correct when he's featured on an A-List album, then you haven't heard his features on Take Care and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, he won't spit any bullshit. I'm cool with a Hov album that has no rap features. Blueprint and Black Album, two of his best albums, were nearly featureless. Still, he was in the studio with Nas, Raekwon, and Drake, I wondered where the songs he did with them ended up.

The only song on that album I see performing on the radio is "Bound", possibly "Hold My Liqour", but that's a stretch.

This is exciting to hear, the first Paris Morton is still one of my favorite Drake verses/songs ever, can't wait to hear the sequel. HOF is a 3/5 to me, not garbage like some of you are saying, but it's definitely not a classic. I hate that Sean didn't sell more. I bought the album, and I think it's a good body of work. It's definitely no classic, but it's far from a bad album. Hopefully Sean will finally find his footing on the third album, pick the right singles, at least do over 100k.

Adele is legit, I'm surprised Wiz Khalifa of all people was the first to score a feature from her. Jay-Z, Kanye, or Eminem I could see, but Wiz? This is a disappointing tracklist. It's not just that it's overloaded with features, but they're basic ass b-list/c-list features; Kendrick is the only feature I'm excited about; and Kanye isn't even on here once. And he kept "Who I Am" and "Pain" on there when those songs are weak as fuck. My anticipation for this album went down a little, I hope I'm wrong to think it will be weak.

I didn't even know Nelly's album came out this week honestly, he is the embodiment of falling all the way off. As for JT, he didn't promote this album as well. First one was his comeback, he did the grammys, he was on Fallon every night the week it dropped, 106 & Park, CW special, etc. Plus Suit & Tie and Mirrors were way better singles, and charted WAY higher.

It's a solid album, but it's not rap album of the year. Born Sinner, MCHG, and NWTS are way better honestly. There's no bad song on this album, they're all pretty dope, but nothing on it is mind-blowing. The album was an underwhelming listen because he pushed it back too many times and we already heard half the songs months ago.

20/20 Experience 2 of 2 isn't better than the first, but I think it's better than the critics have said it was. Never once has a Future song "grabbed", "possessed", or made me "want to fall in love". All Future is good for is making catchy club bangers and radio songs, not putting together a cohesive body of work. Future has never made a song that hits the heart like "Too Much", "Look What You've Done", or "Closer To My Dreams". Frankly I'm glad Jhene Aiko is replacing him on the tour, she is a far more talented singer-songwriter and artist; definitely deserving of more shine.

MMLP2 was pretty good to me. Of course it pales in comparison to the original, but it's still one of the better albums I've heard this year. I do agree however that the beat selection could've been a lot better. Wasn't Em in the studio with No I.D.? Did no records come out of that session? And not one Dre beat on the album either.

I actually like Love Game and I think MMLP2 is a pretty good album and not deserving of some of the hate it's getting. Rick Rubin is a legend in Hip-Hop and I respect all he has done for the genre, but he needs to stay away from Hip-Hop records now. I love when people say he's just a fad whose only hot because of "Control" when GKMC went platinum without a big top 10 single on pop radio, was loved by the fans, critically acclaimed, included on many of the the "best of" list, and he was listed as MTV's hottest MC. And this is all before Control. Kendrick is here to stay. I love the fact that a lyrical rapper with substance is receiving so much success, cause there are fewer of those these days.

I don't understand the hate the album gets on this site. The production could've been way better, I won't argue with that. His lyricism and flow were in peak form however. I will admit conceptually, a lot of the album is repetitive, but what how much new things do we expect for him to rap about? He's not hooked on drugs anymore, all his major legal issues are long over with, and his current family situation seems pretty stable. Bad Guy & Headlights showed growth in him too.

I don't know if he'll be able to top GKMC or not or even just meet the skyhigh expectations there will be for it. I don't really care. He's done no wrong in my eyes so far, and I can't wait to hear the follow-up. I'm still crossing my fingers for that Duo LP with J. Cole sometime next year though...

I think the main reason people are trashing MMLP2 is because they're holding it to the same standard as the original. His last classic album "The Eminem Show" came out in 2002. Em isn't the same Em now that he was 11 years ago at all, we have to stop judging these veterans by their old shit. It's not fair to expect MMLP2 to be as good as SSLP, MMLP1, and Eminem Show. His old shit is 10x better, but MMLP2 is still one of the best rap albums this year.

If this mythical album actually exist, I pray it's a hip-hop album. The Love Below was dope, but I want to hear Andre rapping. If you actually payed attention to what he said, he just said he didn't like those beats for specific reasons, he didn't say anything bad about Biggie. If anything he complimented Biggie by saying "Biggie was so cold, he could make you like anything". Q-Tip producing is excellent, but as much of a legend as he is, I don't know if I want Rick Rubin having any hand in this album. Kendrick deserves to win AOTY and Best New Artist but we all know that a black rapper isn't going to win in the general categories (More than 50% of Outkast & Lauryn Hill's albums was singing). One of my favorite albums of all time. I'm around 18 years old, so I didn't really grow up on 2Pac, Biggie, and them. Kanye was the first hip-hop artist I really gravitated to like that, and one of the few artist who I've legally purchased every album from. This album was one of the albums that made me fall in love with hip-hop. Kanye's dropped classics on classics. I know a lot of people hate him, but he'll always be my favorite artist real talk.

If it really is his last album, I hope it's better than all this other bullshit he's been putting out. Old Weezy has to still be in there somewhere.

Q made a great album, I'm among those 138,517 people who bought his album the first week. Those numbers are all fanbase. He didn't put up Kendrick or Cole numbers but his sales were still pretty decent, considering he didn't even have a single as even halfway as big as Swimming Pools and the fact that he's not as big as Kendrick. As for Cudi, I gave his album one spin and wasn't really impressed. It wasn't terrible to me like some said, but it just wasn't anything special.

A new Weezy/Hov collab would be clutch, but I'm not holding my breath for it.

As a Kanye fan I've always wanted him to get his act together and somewhat repair his public reputation, but I've kind of just came to accept that's not gonna happen because he just doesn't give a fuck about anything. I can't blame the crowd for booing him. I have nothing against epic Kanye rants, but 20 minutes of not even rapping is way too long. It's whatever though, I just hope his next album is anything near the level of genius MBDTF was.

Based off that one person's description, this album sounds like it's going to be another Yeezus. If so then I'm disappointed because I really hoped Kanye was going to move away from that sound.

Tyga is somewhere in his feelings about his boy CB collabing with Durk lol. CB will bring it on the hook and the beat'll be dope, but Durk and Montana are ass.

I saw Logic live opening for Cudi and Sean, so I checked some of his songs out. He's definitely a good rapper and he has some tight songs, but I can't say he's one of my favorite artists or anything. Graduation and GKMC are some big boots to feel, but if this album actually ends up having that same feel, then he might win me over.

Glad to see it, now if we could just get Drizzy back up in the booth with Kendrick

Drake & Fifty on the record is gonna be clutch though. They might share the hook on it, they've both written so many great hooks and melodies for rap songs.

This is just what casting goes like for movies. Some films require certain female characters that are shot-looking, anybody that would feel offended about it has no place auditioning for the roles anyway. You think the casting for Precious wasn't very specific?

It depends on how we're looking at it. When it comes to the new school, Drake, Cole, and Kendrick are at the top of that shit no doubt. You can argue who's lyrically a better rapper all you want, I'm talking about the full package: lyrics, flow, concepts, hooks, hits, sells, cohesive albums, etc. But if we bring in the OGs like Hov, Nas, Em, Kanye, Andre 3000, etc., then Drizzy, Cole, and K. Dot still have a ways to go.

Every rapper worth his salt is supposed to think that about themselves, no big deal there. As far as I'm concerned, nothing against him, but I just can't get into Gambino's music like that, I'd put every rapper he named above him personally.

Nothing against Timbo but my interest in this went down significantly when he said there's no features. I'd rather it just be an instrumental album if that's the case.

MBDTF is neck-and-neck with College Dropout IMO, all of Ye's albums are personal classics to me except Yeezus, though Yeeus is certainly memorable.

I had been saying Nicki hadn't dropped one whack song or verse this year, but this Anaconda song is pretty terrible actually, I can't imagine why anyone in her camp thought this would be a good follow-up to Pills N Potions. That Bang Bang will prolly go #1 and The Pink Print gon' do numbers regardless though. Anyways, I'm just hoping she has the thong on in the music video too.

Damn, everyone is clowning dude on twitter, but I really don't find any humor in this. I wouldn't consider myself a fan of his, but I always thought he seemed like a cool and humble guy based on interviews I seen. This is what happens when you just literally blow up off of one song, and that song becomes bigger than you as an artist. Artists like Kendrick, Cole, and Q were able to do numbers mainly because they had spent years building a fanbase; hate that he blew his money.

He has a valid point, I know of this one girl who got shot at by this other guy; he got arrested for it and charged with attempted murder. A few people were still trying to tell her drop the charges even though he tried to kill her. This Mike Brown situation should not be ignored, but white/cop-on-black isn't the only crime we should clamor for them to bring justice to.

After watching the video just now, I found nothing wrong with it. All Odd Future does is make parodies of black stereotypes, does it somehow make it okay for them just because their black?

It was a dope album, this is well deserved.

Pusha T is so underrated though

Wasn't expecting a new Em project this year seeing as he usually waits 2 or 3 years between albums, but it's a welcomed surprise. I hope Kanye and Kendrick are really dropping this year too.

Skyfall was just amazing

The first Documentary was a classic, the second won't live up to it and I'm not expecting it to. I'm just hoping it's a solid album, which Game definitely is still capable of making.

This review makes this tape sound so much better than it is, I kept 3 songs off it.

That snippet in that IG video sounds fucking horrible, I hope the full song is better.
