The album is already mid because he has built up so much hype for the release that it will be impossible to meet anything close to expectations. If it had just come out when it was supposed to, everyone would have hyped it to no end because of the shock value and the fact that its Kanye. He has played himself.

The poor reception it has received from critics tells you all you need to know about the music industry. Music is constantly being evaluated on criteria that has nothing to do with music. If Kanye had a nicer public image like in the past, this album would be receiving plaudits all over the place and its funny because its genuinely one of his best albums in ages. Production is top notch, so many memorable tracks that have major replay value long after hype has died down. Yet its the album getting hate because of his behaviour.

Its a good album. There's a lot of memorable songs with strong replay value. Its probably his best thing since MBDTF (or top 2 with TLOP) but because of his antics its going to get canned. That's music assessment these days. Albums getting judged on everything but the actual music.

If you get married in this day and age, you deserve everything you get.

I'm a big fan of both and don't care about the beef. Kanye's album was an objectively great album and its easily better than CLB. Way more replay value. I got badly downvoted for it last week and now everybody agreeing. LOL. And I knew it was going be the case as well because Drake has a formula that he got on to with WATTBA that is working for him in terms of sales and I knew he would be too reluctant to change it. The result is that the album is basically Views part 3. Utterly forgettable album. Kanye's album will be getting replayed in 5 years because the songs are simply more memorable.

FYI Fantano's never liked Drake. Ever. Not the most neutral observer.
