I get what Charlemagne is saying. Think about it like this.. Keef is influential to the culture of hip-hop in the way that Lil' B/ Dipset/Kid Cudi/Outkast/Pharrell/T.I./50 etc. changed hip-hop (if you know, you know). Yea, they're not Kanye, Jay, Wayne & Tupac, but they most definitely played a crucial part in driving the culture to where it is today; Trendwise, Soundwise, Wavewise.. He's not like the most influential ever, but in 10's-20', he's technically one of the most influential, even if it's indirect. He kicked off a little more than a sound, he kicked off a wave of young ass, teenage rappers being able to go mainstream, who are demons rapping & actually living that type of content they rapped about. I remember my 1st time seeing Keef. It was surreal watching all these 15-16yr old (literally kids), jumping around with guns & learning about Chicago. Keef was a precursor to the Kodak's and the Youngboy's.
