I partially blame the Kendrick/Drake beef for the lack of enthusiasm for new album and singles drops in rap music. That beef had fans in a choke hold for months, and it created such a high level of excitement that other artists music was dull by comparison. It was exhausting and sucked the air out of hip hop to the point where we didn't care as much about new releases like we normally would. I said this once but I'll say it again. The Kendrick/Drake beef was so intense and lasted so long that it drained the f**k out of rap fans. It was too much. We're not checking for anybody's music right now. We just don't have the appetite. If Ye can't even move numbers don't expect lesser artists to do so. Eminem was the exception, and Kendrick will be too. It's temporary, but that's the fallout.

Eminem's demographic is different. It doesn't defy my point, it makes my point. Act like you know what exception means.

I'm a much bigger Ye fan than Em. That's not even the point. Rap fans are culturally diverse, we know. But Eminem's white (and 'other') fan base is larger. Same with Travis Scott. He's known as a rage artist as well, and his white (and 'other') fan following is huge.
