Tyler, The Creator is no stranger to "Goblins." Perhaps his affinity for mysterious creatures drew him to the world of The Grinch, whose very existence has baffled biologists for years. Such curiosities have ultimately paid dividends for the young talent, who can officially add the title of "Film Composer" to his already stacked resume. It would appear that Tyler, The Creator will be providing original music for the upcoming Grinch flick, which stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular, Christmas-despising beast.
According to a report from Deadline, Tyler has contributed a track titled "I Am The Grinch." One has to wonder if it will be, in any way, melodically reminiscent of "I Am A God." The official trailer suggests that Tyler will be handling more musical responsibilities, and footage reveals what his contributions may sound like. It seems he's remaking the iconic "“You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” adding his new take on the tried and true classic.
Check out the trailer below, and sound off. Will ya'll be checking for The Grinch, or are three cinematic renditions of this holiday tale too many?
