He warned fans that this isn't a rap album.

If you were waiting to be taken on a sonic journey of pure fire, then Tyler, The Creator's IGOR is the album you've been waiting for. Tyler is known to be an eccentric character and artist, and today the 28-year-old delivers a solid follow up to his last effort, Flower Boy. The public has witnessed Tyler's evolution from co-developing his Odd Future collective into the genre-bending, experimental, global superstar he is today as he takes calculated, musical risks that sets him apart.

Tyler has never played by the rules as it pertains to creating music and he continues with that train of thought on IGOR. He, of course, displays his skills as an MC but also showcases his singing abilities throughout. The rapper tweeted a message to IGOR listeners, letting them know not to press play expecting to hear a typical album.

“Igor. This is not Bastard. This is not Goblin. This is not Wolf. This is not Cherry Bomb. This is not Flower Boy. This is Igor. Pronounced EEE-GORE. Don’t go into this expecting a rap album. Don’t go into this expecting any album. Just go. Jump into it. I believe the first listen works best all the way through, no skips. Front to back. No distractions either. No checking your phone no watching tv no holding convo, full attn towards the sounds where you can form your own opinion and feelings towards the album." He advises you to chill, go on a drive, go on a walk...whatever you need to do to "fully indulge."

Guests on IGOR include Playboi Carti, Charlie Wilson, Santigold, Frank Ocean, Kali Uchis, Jerrod Charmichael, Cee-Lo Green, and Kanye West whose voices are distorted throughout the album. Check it out and let us know what you think.
