Trippie Redd and Slim Jxmmi butt heads online.

Over the past few days, a few artists have announced their departure from the rap game. Lil Uzi Vert kicked things off before Nav said that he'd be joining the "New Patek" rapper in retirement. Rae Sremmurd's Slim Jxmmi didn't say he was quitting the rap game entirely, but he did suggest that Rae Sremmurd might be done for good. This prompted Trippie Redd to throw some shade at Jxm, sparking a back-and-forth between the rappers online.

Trippie Redd rubbed Slim Jxmmi the wrong way with some of his comments online. After Slim Jxmmi announced that he was "Not Sremmlife," news surfaced throughout the web including on DJ Akademiks page. Trippie Redd slid in the comment section with an unwarranted take on the situation. "He finally realized we only listen to Swae parts," Trippie wrote.

Jxm caught wind of the comments made by Trippie and quickly clapped back. "Stay in a child's place," he tweeted to Trippie Redd.

Trippie Redd took to his Instagram Story to respond to Jxm's comments. "Slim Jxmmi music trash and he a bitch," he wrote.

It's unclear what exactly prompted Trippie's initial comment, but it seems like there might have been tension between the two rappers, but we hope Slim Jxmmi wasn't serious about leaving Rae Sremmurd.
