Travis Scott's .wav Radio show on Beats 1 will return this Friday, according to the rapper's DJ, Chase B. Travis' third studio album Astroworld will arrive at midnight, with the broadcast to follow sometime during the day, though a time has not been set.
The radio show was first broadcasted in August 2016 with special guest Seth Rogen. Travis' sophomore album Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, later premiered on the show. It has since been on a hiatus.
In an interview with Zane Lowe last week, Travis said that the radio show was "definitely coming back." It is unclear if it will continue after the episode for the Astroworld release date.
Travis announced the Astroworld release date earlier this week. He revealed the name of the project two years ago, even prior to the release of Birds In The Trap, which has caused much impatience in his fanbase. In May, he shared the single "Watch" with Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert. He has performed another song "Stargazing" live over the last few months.
The rapper recently spoke of the project's genesis in an interview with Zane Lowe. "My whole idea was, if you locked into Rodeo, you definitely locked into Astroworld," he said. "I’m just finishing the saga I started on my first album. This is supposed to be my second album. I had to go quick, because like I said, I had all these ideas, I just had to get off real quick, but now I’m finally back home with Astroworld."
