Travis Scott is currently on the second leg of the Astroworld: Wish You Were Here tour and needless to say, it's been a success. It's been one of the most talked about concerts of the past year. He went on the first leg towards the end of 2018 and brought along Gunna, Sheck Wes and Trippie Redd. According to Billboard, the rapper's tour grossed tens of millions within the first three months alone.
Travis Scott continues his hot streak, even on the road, as Billboard's Hot Tours recap dubbed the rapper number two on their list after grossing $34.3M. This marks the rapper's third week in the Top 5. They revealed that the rapper also adds $10.6 million on the tour this week. Thus far, he's grossed $34.3 million and sold 485,659 tickets across the tour’s first 32 dates.
The "Astroworld" tour is Travis Scott's first headlining run in arenas. He's previously served as openers for the likes of Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, and The Weeknd. As the publication points out, Travis Scott joins the likes of Post Malone and Childish Gambino who made their way to arena status in 2018.
Scott's $34.3M gross has made the rapper surpass J. Cole ($25.2 million), Post Malone ($20.9 million), Future ($19.9 million), Childish Gambino ($19.5 million), and Chance the Rapper ($17 million).
Scott has 21 dates left on the tour which gives him enough time to surpass the $50M target.
