Atlanta Hawks rookie point guard Trae Young officially signed his first NBA contract on July 1, not long after being selected fifth overall in the 2018 NBA Draft.
And the big question for any first round pick is always this: What's the first thing you purchased after inking your rookie deal? For Young, it was a matte black Audi R8, reportedly valued at $138,000. The 19-year old sharp shooter took to social media over the weekend to share a glimpse of his new ride.
In addition to his newfound NBA money, Young has also signed on with Adidas, joining fellow rookie Lonnie Walker IV, as well as NBA stars James Harden, Damian Lillard, John Wall, Kristaps Porzingis, Joel Embiid and Donovan Mitchell. Young, an explosive scorer from Oklahoma, became the first player in NCAA history to lead the nation in both points (27.4) and assists (8.7) per game during his freshman season with the Sooners.
