Don't sully the good Lanez name.

Tory Lanez has always marched to the beat of his own drum. The Canadian rapper has never been one to balk at a challenge, having recently exchanged friendly shots with several prominent lyricists. Joyner Lucas and Don Q took the brunt of his assault, though Dreamvilles J.I.D was more than up for the challenge. Yet let the record state that Tory Lanez is no mere warmonger. He has been known to keep the peace on occasion.

21 Savage’s ICE arrest sent ripples through the game, and while many were quick to voice support, the Grammys found many artists taking a "vow of silence." Aside from a mention here or there, 21's presence largely went unrepresented at the Awards Ceremony. Perhaps that was the breaking point for Lanez, who decided to take to the booth in response. Upon dropping off "Free 21," a freestyle over Savage and J. Cole's "a lot," many were quick to covet a fully-rapped Lanez project; after all, the man has been in his bag of late. Yet not everybody was here for Tory's open support of the "Free 21" movement.

One ornery hater-type took to Tory's comment section to accuse the Canuck of clout chasing, specifically attempting to capitalize on 21's spotlight. Tory took the comment to heart, and responded accordingly. "Don't do that," he implores. "Leave all the bullshit out of this. I'm from Canada and have first hand dealt with border problems...and no one else seemed like they would step up and say something on a record bout this." Respect to Tory Lanez for holding it down, and stream "Free 21" right here.
