It's Fargo Friday, for real. Tory Lanez's sophomore album, Memories Don't Die, is out now, and there's no slump in sight. The rapper and singer comes back even harder (do you guys agree??? Sound off) than his debut album with this one. He delivers poignant lyrics across the 18-song tracklist, whether those lyrics be softened up and smoothened over for the ladies, or else hardened and street-focused #bars, there is a lot to unpack.
Ahead of the album's release, we were able to pick Tory's brain about many of the songs (and by extension, or perhaps more importantly, the lyrics) off Memories Don't Die. As most of us got to hear yesterday, "Pieces" in particular is a highlight off the album, featuring a gritty 50 Cent verse. Tory speaks on how the song, which includes an acapella opening from Fif, all came together, before moving on to "Hate to Say," a big song with a lot of insight on Tory's beefs (shelved or otherwise) within the past year.
