Over the past few months, Tory Lanez has been teasing collaborations & details of his forthcoming album, the follow up to last year’s debut I Told You. Last month, the Toronto crooner informed us that the album was completely finished, and that they were waiting on some clearances to go through. “The album is finished ! Finishing Clearance and Arts and it’s yours” he tweeted out.
In an exclusive interview with us at HNHH last month (see below), Tory also said that fans can look forward to some eye-catching co-signs on the album as well. "There's definitely features that you want to hear [...] definitely collabs that you wanted to see," he said, and it turns out he wasn't lying.
Announced via his Instagram stories Wednesday night, it looks like Tory is getting ready to finally release the album’s first single, “Real Thing,” featuring ATL superstar Future.
“I can't wait to this shit to drop,” Tory can be heard saying in the clip that shows the single’s artwork briefly on a MacBook.
Unfortunately, no other information about the single was revealed, like most importantly when it will be dropping, but let’s hope it’s right around the corner. In mid-August (8/14 to be exact), Tory said the first single would be dropping in "a week-and-a-half or two weeks at the latest,” and we’re definitely pass that time frame. So let’s hope this drops ASAP, like tomorrow or next week.
Check out the very brief clip (below) and keep your eyes peeled for its release soon. While you wait for the single to drop, check out Tory’s latest feature in Busta Rhymes’ new single “Girlfriend” featuring Vybz Kartel. He also has another collab with international superstar Prince Royce on the way as well. So stay tuned a lot is coming from the Toronto artist.
Included below is our recent sit-down interview with the man himself as well.
