2017 proved to be a massive year for both Tory Lanez and Swae Lee; the former dropped off several singles in anticipation of his upcoming Memories Don't Die, while the latter continued to establish Rae Sremmurd as dominant force in the game, enjoying the simultaneous success of French Montana's "Unforgettable." And that's only scratching the surface. Suffice it to say, between the music, the tours, and the general social media antics, Tory and Swae Lee have been two of the year's breakout stars - and they haven't even reached their artistic prime.
Luckily for us fans, the pair have recently been teasing some future developments, and from the sound of their Twitter antics, they're going to be big. "I don’t know if they ready for what we bout to do," tweeted Lanez, directly tagging Swae Lee. Lee proceeded to respond with a simple, yet effective answer - "Definitely not." It stands to reason that the pair have been cooking up some fire in the studio, which they'll hopefully be releasing sooner rather than later. After all, the game can always benefit from some new music, especially during the onset of a new year.
On that note, it seems as if this year will be a fruitful one for both artists. Lanez still has to drop the anticipated Memories Don't Die, and he recently teased some future plans with Bryson Tiller. As for Swae, he recently announced that Sremmlife 3 would be dropping in January, although he didn't get more specific than that. Stay tuned for more news on this collaboration.
