The White House Correspondents Dinner is usually an event for DC reporters to inflate their self importance and mingle among the people who they cover in their stories. This year's dinner, however, was slightly different, in that everyone who was there left the event offended by comedian Michelle Wolf's routine.
Michelle's roast-filled speech, which took shots at Trump, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Kellyanne Conway, and more, has enough people riled up that the White House is seriously considering making permanent changes to the event, including not having a comedian appear or not televising the event at all.
There are plenty of people, however, who don't think that Wolf did anything wrong, and one of them is rapper, T.I.
In an Instagram post this morning, T.I. shared a clip of a PBS interview with comedian Dave Chappelle, who said that he had the utmost respect for Wolf for refusing to pander to the unreceptive audience, and that he "respects her gangsta." T.I. agreed with the sentiment as well, captioning the clip with, "@michelleisawolf give a damn what dey sayin about u on Fox News.... you’re a national treasure in our eyes!!! U ARE OFFICIALLY INVITED TO DA BBQ!!!! 💪🏽"
That's a big shoutout from Tip, and Wolf deserves it. She's easily the most controversial comedian who has performed at the Correspondent's Dinner since Steven Colbert in 2006, and there's no doubt that she'll have to deal with the wrath of angry Trump fans from here on out. Check out the shout out from T.I. below.
