Kanye West's meeting with Donald Trump at the Oval Office yesterday was bizarre, to say the least. The hip-hop community at large hasn't been the most pleased about the matter including T.I. who called out 'Ye yesterday on Instagram. While T.I. seems to have switched his tune a bit, he did say that 'Ye didn't focus enough on issues affecting People Of Color under the Trump administration.
T.I. told TMZ that if he were to have gone to the White House, he would've made sure that he put more of a focus on "the blatant disregard and disrespect" of people of color in America.
"I guess [I would talk to Trump about] the blatant disrespect and disregard of my people and all people of color. I guess maybe we could talk about the children that have been ripped away from their parents at the borders and how they've been allowed to be adopted by other parents and not given back to their rightful homes," he said. "Things that like really matter. I think you gotta start there before we could move on in good faith."
Despite bashing Kanye on Instagram yesterday, he did agree with some of the things Kanye aims to do, but he doesn't think 'Ye's going about it in the right way.
"I think bringing jobs back to America is all phenomenal. I think all those things are phenomenal," he said. "It's not what you do, it's how you do it. I think the manner in which you do things matter a lot more than, you know, exactly what you intend to do because the road to hell is paved with good intentions."
