The Weeknd and Puma are gearing up for the third release of the Puma XO Parallel, a sneaker boot which has already released in white and olive colorways. The latest rendition of The Weeknd's Puma sneaker boot comes in the always popular "Triple Black" color scheme.
The blacked out Puma XO Parallel doesn't feature a trace of contrast as the high-tops go black from sole to tongue and heel to toe, including the laces, midsole and PUMA branding. The kicks are constructed of high-end Italian nubuck leather, accompanied by a rubber midsole and Puma's Ignite cushioned outsole.
Additionally, the "Triple Black" Puma XO Parallel will be accompanied by a military-inspired capsule collection which includes plenty of camo-printed gear ranging from bomber jackets and hoodies to tees and beanies.
In a recent interview with Footwear News, The Weeknd spoke about his first footwear collab, as well as some of the people he hopes to see rocking the Puma Parallel.
Per Footwear News,
“We’ve been working with Puma for almost a year, and everyone is more than ready to get the sneakers out,” The Weeknd told FN in an exclusive interview. “I was nervous at first, but when I finally got to hold the product, I immediately fell in love. I think people will like it.”
“To be honest, I just want to see everyone wearing it,” he said. “I want it to be part of pop culture. I want to walk down the street and see kids wearing it and women wearing it. I want to see the pope wearing it. I want to see [Barack] Obama wearing it. I want to see Elon Musk wearing it.”
The "Triple Black" Puma XO Parallel sneaker boot is scheduled to release this Saturday, November 11th, at select Puma retailers worldwide and online at puma.com, for the retail price of $220.
