Abel has something planned for Comic-Con in New York next week.

The Weeknd's latest Instagram post seems to tease a new collaboration with Marvel. According to a caption attached to the frame, which appears to be an animated version of the singer, real name Abel Tesfaye, himself, something is on its way October 7th at the New York Comic-Con. While there are no further details on what the collaboration between The Weeknd and Marvel could be, we know that the singer has already been featured on a Marvel variant cover revealed in March.

Our best guess would be that some sort of comic book or other visual experiment from Marvel will feature The Weeknd, though we'll have to wait until next weekend to see exactly what's going on.

The Weeknd recently appeared on Gucci Mane's new single "Curve." He released his fourth studio album STARBOY last November. In September, he chose "Die For You" as the next single from the project.

In other Weeknd Instagram news, the singer recently excited fans of Drake's Take Care when he and Drake interacted in the comments of one of Drake's post. After Abel joked about the rapper's throwback look, writing "Take Care curls," Drake responded, "subliminally trying to tell you we need to make music." The two collaborated on a number of tracks on Drake's sophomore album, but have not worked together in some time. The Weeknd brought Drake on stage at his London show earlier this year, where Drake spoke highly of his collaborator's debut project. "You played me 'What You Need,'" he said of their earliest encounter. "After that, we met up at the studio and I heard House Of Balloons, which is in my top 5 albums of all time.... OVO and XO forever, it doesn't matter where we are."
