The Weeknd's already had a massive 2018 and we're not even five months deep into it. The "Call Me By Your Name" singer released his most recent EP, My Dear Melancholy, with barely any notice and a few weeks later, he took to the Coachella stage with a memorable performance. Over the past few years, he's expanded his creative outlet. He's collaborated with H&M for two collections before dropping the company due to the "Coolest Monkey In The Gym" controversy. In addition, he's also been working on a comic book with Marvel. The physical copies of "Starboy" are due out in June but it looks like fans will be able to get a glance of it before it hits shelves.
The Weeknd revealed that his Marvel collaboration for the "Starboy" comic book will surface this week. The singer hit Twitter to unveil a glimpse of what to expect from the illustrations and said, "special online edition of @Marvel “Starboy” coming out TOMORROW || original comic SET TO HIT STANDS IN JUNE !!"
The comic book was written by The Weeknd, his creative director, La Mar Taylor and Christos Gage while the graphics were handled by Eric Nguyen and Guru-eFX.
A few weeks a go, Marvel shared the plotline to the story which takes place in a fictional city of Alphatron. As crime rates rise due to the ruthless antagonist Jack "The Chef" Smiley bringing together the criminal organizations which leaves Starboy to come to Alphatron's rescue.
