The Game revealed last year that Westside Story, his next studio album, would be his last. After hinting at a potential Kendrick Lamar collaboration on the project, he's now laying down tracks in the studio, according to a new Instagram post.
"Day 1: WESTSIDE STORY... #ClosedSession it's just me & these @DrDre beats," he captioned a picture if the very modern-looking studio. "I can promise you pain, love, sacrifice & dedication to my craft.... anything else you can get from these Cracker Jack niggas....... my last album.... let's fuckin get it !!!!!"
He tagged the photo with "#NewStudio" and "#NewEnergy." Here's hoping that the fresh space brings out a historic final chapter from the Compton rapper. View his post above.
"Westside Story" is also the title of The Game's 2004 collaboration with 50 Cent from his Debut album The Documentary as well as the name of his 2004 mixtape. The upcoming project will be the rapper's 9th studio album following his 2016 LP 1992.
