While news of The Game's reported final album, tentatively titled Westside Story, has been relatively scarce, it would appear that the rapper is beginning a rollout of sorts. We recently saw him light the "bat signal" for old buddies Just Blaze and Dr. Dre, and now, Game has taken a moment to show some appreciation for another crucial player, executive producer Dom Kennedy.
"Brought in my n***a @dopeitsdom to EP this last album wit me," writes Game, via Instagram. "Great decision.... urrrrthang [FIRE]." Sadly, we have yet to hear from Game in a minute, though it stands to reason his final project will be one of the year's heaviest hitters. Given his pedigree and respected status as a hip-hop legend, it wouldn't be surprising to see him pulling out all the stops for this one. Especially if it is, as he has often teased, his final album. Yet this is hip-hop, after all, where retirement is merely temporary.
It bodes well that Game has the ear of Dom Kennedy at his disposal, and we can't wait to hear what these studio sessions have yielded. Stay tuned for more news on the upcoming project, and add your thoughts below. You still checking for that new Game?
