A few days removed from gifting us with the official remix to "Gonna Love Me," with verses from Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, and Method Man, Teyana Taylor has dropped off a music video to accompany the original version of the track.
The clip documents the behind-the-scenes of Teyana's family life and career, with things kicking off with the moment that Iman Shumpert proposed at the couple's baby shower when Teyana was still pregnant with the beloved Baby Junie. The clip spans up until the present, with shots of Teyana onstage during her most recent tour stops, backstage with Janet Jackson, and most importantly, in heartfelt moments shared with her daughter and husband.
If this new video accomplishes anything, it provides a visual supplement to the vulnerability present on K.T.S.E., a result of the growth that took place within the gap between K.T.S.E. and her debut VII project.
"K.T.S.E. was different from VII," Teyna a previously told Billboard. "That LP was fresh out of heartbreak and then finding love again. VII album was very sexual as well. It was lovey-dovey. I feel like with K.T.S.E., having the four-year music gap and then becoming a mother and wife definitely took a turn. I have more to talk about. I have more to live for. There is a lot more vulnerability on K.T.S.E. There were more emotions, pain, love, happiness, all of those things. That is kind of the big turn for me. "
