Tekashi 6ix9ine has been axed from the upcoming Soulfrito Fest 2018.

With so much buzz surrounding his name right now, Tekashi 6ix9ine can be considered one of the most eccentric rappers to have come out of New York in years. With a scene as deep as NYC's, that means a lot. With six of his singles being named to the Billboard charts, Tekashi took advantage of a sound and then switched it up completely with "GOTTI," showing an unexpected versatility. While there are positives to be considered with 6ix9ine's success, the rapper has a cloud of negativity over him everywhere he goes as he is constantly involved in numerous different controversies.  The most recent stems from a shooting that occurred during Adrien Broner's recent bout against Jessie Vargas.

During the fight, a shooting happened which allegedly involved 6ix9ine's crew and rival Brooklyn rapper Casanova. 6ix9ine's manager Tr3yway is reportedly a person of interest in correlation with the shooting and the aftermath has left the "BILLY" rapper with a fair amount of cleaning up to do. As he was scheduled to perform at the Soulfrito Urban Latin Music Fest, Tek was promoting the event on his Instagram endlessly but it looks like he won't be performing, after all. TMZ is reporting that 6ix9ine's performance has been canceled and that he is barred from the Barclays Center during the show on June 8.

Neither 6ix9ine or the venue have commented on the issue but it's almost guaranteed that the colorful rapper will have something to say on his socials.
