In June 2017, Top Dawg Entertainment's SZA dropped off her debut studio album to near-unanimous acclaim. With tracks like "Love Galore" and "Supermodel" leading the charge, SZA's album quickly caught fire, earning the singer a small collection of gold and platinum plaques to adorn her walls. Today, a little less than two years removed from the initial drop, SZA took a moment to reflect on the album's success, sharing a veritable collage of RIAA dubs.
"Love galore really just went triple platinum lol," writes SZA, in a celebratory Instagram post. "My favorite songjus went gold (supermodel) and the rest just certified today. I CANT THANK GOD ENOUGH FOR HOW FAR IVE COME !!! AHH Amen amennn !" Beside it, a collection of the album's gold and platinum certifications, which include "Go Gina," "The Weekend," "Drew Barrymore," and more.
She proceeds to turn her gratitude to the fans, promising some big things to come in the imminent future. "THANK YOU ALL SO FUC*ING MUCH FOR LEANING INTO THIS FREQUENCY WITH ME. I LOVE YOU AND I GOT CHU SHORTLY IM NOT FUC*ING AROUND I PROMISE," she writes, before signing off with a cryptic "soon." Congratulations to SZA for holding it down, and we look forward to catching that upcoming follow-up. TDE seems poised for a big year, and it wouldn't be surprising to see SZA play an integral role.
